SUSIE ELMS
Practice Director, New Business
Susie’s Career in Architecture started out in 1986 at Chapple and Campbell, over time purchasing the practice in 2006. Susie has great knowledge of the construction industry and in particular her use of colours and Interior Design. Outside of work Susie enjoys travel, socializing, and tasting some fine wines. She is also very handy on the tools or with a paintbrush in hand.
KAREN SMITH
Client Lead
Karen has been a part of the Chapple team since 2017 and is responsible for lead design and client liaison. She has over 20 years’ experience in Architecture and is growing in experience in Resource Consent and Urban design work. Out of work she enjoys her lifestyle block, spending time with friends and family, and is involved with local amateur theatre.
JONATHAN JONES
Technical Lead
Jonathan started with us in 2007 and has developed his skills and has a wealth of technical knowledge. He is currently studying towards his Passive House designer certification. When not working on everyone else's projects, Jonathan works on his own home renovation and enjoys photography, music, and following sports.
JAMIE HUDSON
Compliance Lead
Jamie started at Chapple in 2008 and is responsible for Technical Design and all of the building consent processing. When Jamie is not at work, you'll find her taking part in or watching sports, and when time allows sketching portraits. As a recent homeowner, she is now learning the craft of D.I.Y
MASON HUGHES
Architectural Technician
Mason joined us in 2017 whilst studying for his New Zealand diploma in Architectural Technology at UCOL. Now fully qualified Mason is really pushing the boundaries. He has a passion for all things sport, and especially talented as a representative cricketer, enjoying Sci-Fi films and TV to unwind.
Kate O'Fee
Practice Manager
Kate started in July 2020 after returning home from living abroad in Portugal. Kate takes care of all the business side of things and keeps everything running smoothly. When not at work, she is out exploring New Zealand in her campervan.
